Frequently asked questions
What is the largest mirror you make?
200 cm in either direction, cut to the millimetre. For a whole wall, we would recommend two or three panels butted together rather than a single sheet, which is easier to handle, deliver and fix safely.
What size mirror do I need to see myself head to toe?
A mirror 140 to 170 cm tall with the bottom edge 30 to 40 cm above the floor. A mirror half your height is enough in theory, but it leaves no margin for different heights or for standing closer.
Do you sell freestanding or leaning mirrors?
No, all our mirrors are wall-mounted. A large wall mirror hung low, with the bottom edge 30 to 40 cm above the floor, gives the same full-length reflection without taking up floor space.
How do I fix a large mirror to the wall?
At several points into something solid: heavy-duty cavity fixings or the studs on a plasterboard wall, and wall plugs rated for the weight on masonry. Mirror mounting tape and adhesive are available as add-ons, and mounting hardware is included with LED mirrors.
Does a large mirror really make a room look bigger?
Yes, and the effect is strongest when the mirror faces a window or sits on the long wall of a narrow room, because it doubles the daylight and the apparent depth rather than simply reflecting the opposite wall.
